Arnab Goswami Provided with ‘Y’ Category Security Cover…Read to Know Why!

Arnab Goswami Provided with

In a major development, the government of India has decided to provide Y category security cover for Mr Arnab Goswami, the editor in chief of Times Group.

The decision was taken by the Home ministry following threats from Pakistan based terror groups. The intelligence Bureau had received various inputs about possible attack on Goswami. Recently Goswami has been openly questioning Pakistan and its leaders who have been sponsoring terrorism. He has also been criticizing many Indians who are speaking in the language of Pakistan demanding proof for surgical strike videos and questioning the integrity of Indian army. He even called many Pakistan supports as Paki Doves and Pseudo Liberals and directly questioned then intentions of putting politics above Nation.

Arnab Goswami and Sudhir Chaudary were two people who dared MSM journalists for supporting Kanhaiya Kumar and Umar Khalid after Anti India slogans were raised in JNU!

The government provides two types of security, one is the position based security which is provided on the basis of position he/she holds. Second is the threat based security which is based on threat perception.

Why The Opposition Demand For Proof Of ‘Surgical Strikes’ Is Nonsensical

Why The Opposition Demand For Proof Of Surgical Strikes Is Nonsensical

There is only one word to describe the utterances of Arvind Kejriwal, Digvijaya Singh, Sanjay Nirupam and Randeep Surjewala on the “surgical strikes” carried out by the Indian army against terrorist launch-pads across the line of control (LoC) in Jammu & Kashmir: “despicable.”

It is perfectly all right for opposition politicians to ask the BJP to not make political capital out of the surgical strikes (the BJP should rein in its own cadre on this before it does damage), but it is completely unacceptable for them to demand proof that the strikes happened.

Consider what Sanjay Nirupam said in his tweet. “Every Indian wants #SurgicalStrikesAgainstPak but not a fake one to extract just political benefit by BJP.”

When his party demanded robust action by Narendra Modi after Uri, almost challenging his ability to act against Pakistan-based terrorists, that was perfectly all right. But when this actually happens, the strikes become “fake”?

Or consider what Kejriwal had to say: “BJP, I’m convinced that strikes took place. But int’l media publishing Pak propaganda that no strike took place. Let’s expose Pak propaganda.”

The Indian Army Strikes Back: Keeps It Within Escalation Control

The Indian Army Strikes Back

What gladdens the heart is that, after long, the Indian establishment employed information, alongside its operations, as a prime tool most appropriately.

The Indian Army has struck back and handed out appropriate retribution for the attack by Pakistan-sponsored and led terrorists at Uri military base on 18 September 2016. The window for the retribution, just 11 days, is a credible one. The DGMO's earlier statement regarding the response - "time and place of our choosing" was correctly made to elongate and afford a reasonable window even as public pressure mounted. To ensure full success in military operations of such nature, the degree of preparation and intelligence sharing is mandatory. The window was, therefore, apt and warranted.

Briefly, before any analysis, the known facts need to be stated. In as transparent a way that could be revealed, the Army has conveyed the fact that its troops struck terror bases in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir during the preceding night of 29 September and caused large-scale casualties. The operations were carried out across multiple sectors of the LoC, north and south of the Pir Panjal, all well known to harbour terrorist facilities under control of the deep state. There is no need for the Army to reveal anything more and it needs a pat on the back for having regained the slight loss of moral ascendancy which it may have perceived. It's for us to analyse the suitability of the timing, the selection of the nature of operations and the implications.

Forget asking the world, India must start isolating Pakistan first

Forget asking the world

Our first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru once grandly declared that he had bought peace with Pakistan thanks to the Indus Waters Treaty in 1960. Well, he obviously didn’t check the fine print for a lifetime warranty because in a mere five years, Pakistan launched a massive attack on us, that became a full-fledged war.

There’s no way that attack could have come overnight. Any new small country takes years to get its defence forces ready to take on a bigger power.

So it is safe to say that they were plotting even as the Indus treaty was being signed. They probably went into overdrive the moment Nehru decided to fight with China half-heartedly with his hands tied.

(At that time the Indian Air Force was more potent than the Chinese one and it wasn’t used at all.) Indira Gandhi liberated Bangladesh, and captured tens of thousands of Pakistani prisoners of war with a huge amount of Pakistani land.

What did we get out of that? Absolutely nothing! Bangladeshis continue to pour in to this very day. The Kashmir dispute stayed where it was. Bangladesh soon forgot about us. Then Pakistani Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto abused India at every opportunity and vowed to build the nuclear bomb even if it meant eating grass.

The Rajiv Gandhi-General Zia-ul-Haq bonhomie with rumours of a secret final settlement ended in both of them dying and their successors spoiling things further.

Uri attack revenge: Indian Army crosses LoC, kills 20 terrorists

Uri attack revenge

In the wake of the Uri attack, the Indian Army launched a daring cross-LoC operation on the night of Sept. 20 and 21 and killed 20 terrorists, a report by The Quint claimed.

The report that has been confirmed from various sources, suggests that 2 units of the elite 2 Paras comprising 18 to 20 soldiers flew across the LoC in the Uri sector in military helicopters and carried out an operation that killed around 20 suspected terrorists across three terror camps in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK).

However, sources in the Army or the defence establishment refused to confirm or deny the report. As per the sources, the number of casualties along with the injured in the operation could be as high as 200.

Reportedly, the operation took place after Pakistan declared a no-fly zone over Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) on the night of September 20. Pakistan had cancelled almost all flights to POK due to 'airspace restrictions'.

Post the Uri attack, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar had said, the incident may need a "knee-jerk" reaction. "Won't go into details of what India can do, but sometimes knee-jerk reaction is required," the minister had said.
